Built CIRCA 1840 as a Southern planter’s house, it now serves as Bluffton’s official Welcome Center and museum. Along with its original slave cabin and remnants of a summer kitchen, it is one of only 10 antebellum structures remaining in Old Town Bluffton and the only historic home open to the public in the town’s National Historic District.

The house museum is open for docent-led tours Monday-Friday, 10am to 3pm and Saturdays, 11am to 2pm. Walking tour maps of Bluffton are also available, as is other visitor information.
