The South Carolina Oyster Recycling and Enhancement Program is a SCDNR program that focuses on working with volunteers to improve SC’s oyster resources through direct involvement in hands-on stewardship activities. Volunteer activities include shell bagging, manufactured wire reef fabrication, constructing oyster reefs, oyster shell recycling, marsh grass restoration among many others. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the year and for all age ranges. The SCORE Program works in all coastal counties, as well as in-land.
